Summary: Okay, this is dumber than a living bulldozer. Now we have a bed that eats people. A bed. An inanimate object. Interesting story, though.

History: Long ago, a demon and a human woman made love on a bed, but the woman died in the process. Stricken with grief, the demon's tears brought the bed to life, and from that moment on, the bed would eat anyone who dared lay on it whenever the demon woke up every ten years. The only one it spared was old artist Aubrey Beardsley, who it trapped in a painting to bear witness to the kills.

Notable Kills: It digests food in a yellowy muck that is its inside.

Final Fate: The bed is finally destroyed by a ritual involving sex and bringing back its "mother" (the woman who died). Aubrey is allowed to leave after this.

Powers/Abilities: Digests people, psychic powers.

Weakness: Bleeds whenever someone resembling its "mother" appears, old rituals.

Scariness Factor: 1-Interesting backstory aside, there's literally no reason anyone should rest on or even find this bed. Any bit of inanimate furniture with a reputation that bad can only look forward to starving in a just world.

Trivia: -Aubrey Beardsley was a real artist, and his work mostly involved beauty where there was none and slight erotica, with a style mostly inspired by Japanese woodcuts.

-Apparently, a stage adaptation has been in the works for some time. Can't wait for that, never.
